Mercy Ships

At its founding Sheffield Precision was intended to be a company which benefits both its workforce and the wider community.

For this reason, Sheffield Precision gives each year from net profits to the charity Mercy Ships who work to provide medical care to the poorest and most vulnerable around the world.
In 2011 a contingent from Sheffield went out to Sierra Leone to see the work that the volunteer team was doing on the Africa Mercy hospital ship. With 5 operating theatres and 80 patient beds, it is the largest non-governmental hospital ship in the world and provides thousands of surgeries free of charge every year.

Please read more about the great work that Mercy Ships is currently doing on the west coast of Africa.
