Sheffield Precision have taken delivery and commissioned a new HAAS DS30, their final machine in a £0.75M CAPEX investment plan which included a new Sodick EDM and HAAS 5-Axis mill. The new DS30 machine has been bought in to aid efficiency and to manufacture components in fewer operations. It will also aid accuracy whilst reducing manufacturing cost and lead times. With dual spindle capability and an added bar feeder, this has further increased the capacity for lights out manufacturing required for longer production runs.
