The team at Sheffield Precision Medical were rewarded for their efforts in the past year with a substanial increase in orders coming from overseas.

A close call to winning, the judges were impressed with the export strategy that turned a business around from loss-making in 2009, to a profitable investor and employer in 2012, and that in doing so exceeded its targets.
The judges went on to say that by working innovatively, partnering with local universities and investing in skills and technology, SPM had grown both its existing and international markets.
