Sheffield Precision Medical is proud to sponsor the Norton Sportsman Football Club for the upcoming 2016/2017 season. The company has a history of supporting its employees while promoting the good work of its preferred charity, Mercy ships. Current employee Jack Mitchell who is the Club chairman and assistant manager said ‘We would like to thank SPM for their support and are proud to be involved with the good cause of Mercy Ships who do wonderful work with less fortunate people around the world.’
Having progressed through the junior leagues under the name of Sheffield United Junior Blades, the team decided a change of name was appropriate in line with their progression to men’s football. Having changed their name they decided a change of kit and a change of sponsorship was also welcome which is where SPM stepped in.
Norton Sportsman FC is a team not unfamiliar with success, having won the competitive U21’s cup final held at the Proac Stadium (home of Chesterfield Football Club) in 2014.The team have continued their rich vein of form through 2015 and into 2016 winning their opening three games of the season. With a strong squad and committed supporters, their future looks bright.
